The New WoW.com
One of the most popular and my personal favorite wow blog, Wow Insider, just got a facelift and a name change in the form of the new WoW.com. I can’t say enough good things about this site and its bloggers.
One of the coolest features that has been added to the new site is personal blogs and character profiles. They function similarly to Facebook in that by setting up the application and addons others can follow what you are doing in game by viewing your profile. You can even write personal blog posts from inside the game client using the app.
I haven’t really started blogging on the profile yet but it has all of my game info and I will start adding pictures and little blog posts soon. Feel free to add me and shoot me a comment, tweet, or email if you would like me to add you.

Nerf Withdrawl

MMO-Champion has just released the patch notes for patch 3.1.3 and so goes another crappy patch with no priest changes. Here is my problem with that, WE HAVE NO DRAMA. Arms warriors just got kicked in the nuts for the second patch in a row but can shadow priests get one little tiny nerf…..NO. I’m pissed because I have nothing to be pissed about. No changes everything is good and working well. Damage is high, healing is good, and rose petals fall everywhere I walk. Does this sicken anyone else?
About a week ago I started back on my DK because as much as I love shadow priests with every fiber of my being, I am bored as shit. Ulduar is the fastest instance ever to get old to me, I got my Crusader title from the Argent dailies, and burnt out on arenas and pvp farming honor for three straight weeks.
For now I guess I’ll just keep raiding on Chuck and leveling my DK (Slaughtar), but I hope we get some new things to do soon, cause I dont have the patients to wait for the Fire Festival.

Gear Comparison Spreadsheet
Recently I was frustrated when I bid DKP on what I felt was an obvious neck upgrade and after further checking found out that I was incorrect. Our raid leads go through items very quickly and all I did was look over the item. I didn’t check with any reputable sources. For that reason I have created very simple gear comparison spreadsheet for quickly checking the stats of of a drop to see if it is an upgrade. It is nothing special so don’t expect some fully automated monstrosity. I have saved the file in both Microsoft Office and Open Office formats. Other formats available on request. Hopefully this will be useful to someone besides just myself.

3.1.2 Patch Tomorrow
Hey everyone I would like to say sorry for the lack of new posts over the last week or so. My daughter and wife have been sick and I have been working on a couple of guides that have been taking up a lot more time than anticipated. I should be posting one of these guides in the next 3 or 4 days.
3.1.2 is going live on all US servers tomorrow according MMO-Champion. This is a somewhat boring patch for shadow priest, with no changes for us and only a few little changes for healing priests. Read the rest of this entry »

Shadow Priests Unite!
I casually stroll up the long steep hills of Arathi Basin. There is no hurry because I already know that there is only one unsuspecting Tauren Druid guarding the Lumber Mill. I knew this because I chain Mind Visioned to him from the Gold Mines. As usual in my battlegroup an all out war was being raged at the Farm that would have almost no chance of there ever being a victor. After riding around the Stables and taking my time going up the hill to make sure I didn’t attract any attention, I rode straight at the Druid with blistering speed and shouted profanities that he couldn’t possibly have understood. I thought something like this might be useful to people who have trouble finding the spriest info that they need. I have thrown together a Darkened Soul Shadow Priest PvE Cheat Sheet. I need to come up with a better name for it I know. I don’t claim to have come up with information on my own. However, I did work hard in verifying facts from multiple sources.
