Why I Disabled Comments
I have had a few people ask me recently why I have disabled comments on my blog postings.
To be fair I really enjoy getting feedback from readers, however I feel that the comment system goes against what I am trying to do with this site. My main goal when setting up this site is to simplify and consolidate information for shadow priests. It is incredibly hard to find quick and accurate information when having to click through 25 pages of a forum post so I wanted to take all that information that myself and others have worked very hard to research out there and put it in a neat little package.
As you may have noticed some of my posts have a bit of commentary and sometimes a lot of bitching but overall I try to write the majority of my postings as guides or breakdowns. That is why I would rather receive an email making a suggestion than a 100 comment long conversation after a post that is full of just as much trolling as it is useful information.
Maybe at a later time I will change my mind but for now I think this is the way I am going to go with the site. I hope the means I have made available, email and twitter, are more than adequate for everyone to contact me if they have suggestions or other feedback.
